home is still the best :)

Hi, I am back from this trip that people would sure wahh and envy. Well, it is really nothing much lah, really. Not that I am showing off or what. Sometimes, you really want to do something, go to some places, watch a certain musical, play a certain music. When you finally get to play it, it is just nothing much. Home is still the best place afterall. There was one thing very common in a the days you see below: We took lots of pictures and videos! Ang Mohs love to bathe in the sun! Their food is frozen, nothing is fresh! Food is crap! Ang Mohs in Europe were not very friendly because they speak only their own language as if we understand. English please! =)

DAY ZERO. The plane was Cathay. However, no matter how good the plane is, it was still economy class. I got a hard time sleeping, even though the plane had movie screens in front of every seat. Sighs. The food was quite nice, thinking that they were just airplane food. My family was quite unlucky to get seats which the screens were not working. When we changed seats, we realised the sound was not working too. So boring. =(

DAY ONE. There we arrived at Rome airport. The immigration guy didn't bother much about chopping passports. He didn't even look at my face! The stamp was also low in ink. Lousy lah. Rome is the capital of Italy. We first went to Vatican City to visit the St Peter's Church, the biggest church in the world. So pretty lor! I saw the Angels and Demons fountain there! I also saw the candles in the church which the guy used to kill himself at the last scene. The Vatican people also did a good job of brush washing the church so that it remains clean and pleasant for their usage and for tourist. =)

St. Peter's Church

After that we went to see the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine. There was also a Trevi Fountain nearby. We bought ice cream too. Ok ok only lah, not very fantastic compared to such prices of ice-cream in Singapore. Lunch was some chinese food... Finally we got to the hotel where we had a terrible Italian dinner. You can imagine, tomato sauce based Spaghetti with no other meat or whatsoever. Italian meals have 4 courses, soup, pasta, meat and dessert.

Trevi Fountain

DAY TWO. Breakfast was ok lah, then we packed luggage and continued our journey. We went to Pisa to see that slanted tower. We took pictures with our hands and fingers trying to prevent the tower from falling! The place was clean and pleasant. Haha. We had a chinese lunch again, then took bus to Venice.

Pisa Tower

Venice was quite disappointing because the water was so dirty. The buildings were also dirty. That place could have been beautiful if they block the ocean water by building walls around it, then clean up the water inside the city, and of course clean up everywhere. We took the Venice boat that cost 100 euros. Even though it was expensive, it was really worth it because there were some beautiful places only accessible through the boat. Lastly, we had the Italian dinner at a restaurant. The food was not as bad as the day before, but was still quite terrible. Same kind of 4 courses meal. This time it was a Spaghetti with octopus black colour juice thing. We ate till our mouths were disgustingly dressed in black. LOL! After which we took a ferry back to mainland and stayed in a hotel for the night nearby.

Venice

DAY THREE. Breakfast was slightly better than the first. After checking out, we went to Switzerland. We went to the city of Lucerne. There, we went to see their famous watches. Everyone received a free gift of a ROLEX spoon. It was really a very nice spoon which we found in the shop costing 5 for 18 franc. In Switzerland, the currency was not EURO, but SWISS FRANC. Everything in Switzerland was very very expensive. We had a ownself eat lunch there. We ordered a pizza which we had no idea what we were ordering, and a strawberry tart. The total cost was almost 30 swiss franc! Hai. The roads and streets there were the most clean and pretty in the whole of Europe I must say. The water there was also clean with pretty pairs of swans swimming on top. The walk along a park was the most refreshing ever. Lol, a rich country is definitely pleasant to visit. Haha.

Chapel Bridge

DAY FOUR. Breakfast has been improving day by day! Haha. All right, we went to visit Mt Titlis, the most famous peak of the Alps. We took the cable car up, some cable bus up, and lastly, a rotating cable car up to the top. There was a ice cave which was lighted up inside with pretty lights. Very cold! I wore a lot of clothes, like a dumpling! Haha. We also went to play with the snow on top of the mountain. Lunch was inside a restaurant in the building there. Then we came down. Good to hear that everyone was safe playing there. We took a bus to Heidelberg. We bought this fridge magnet souvenior from a German guy who could speak good Chinese, haha! Dad bought some beer also, and then we bought some fruits! I couldn't remember where we went but we stayed in the hotel there for the night.

Mt. Titlis

DAY FIVE. Breakfast was great! The tour guide said breakfast in Germany was the best. Haha. There were all kinds of ham and salami. But after eating so many different kinds, the normal ham still was the best. =)We went to Old Castle first. It was just a castle with shops for souveniors, and nice view. =) We took bus to the city of Cologne, where we saw the biggest Cathedral in the world. It was so tall and huge, so crazy! However, it was so black and dirty, that it looked more like a haunted house. People of the past spent a few hundred years building this thing, so super tall using no machines must sand mountains at the side of the building to build it, Germany didn't even bother to spend a few years to clean up this thing. So sad le. But inside was really beautiful, dressed with imaged glass windows, each carrying an individual story.

Old Castle Cologne Cathedral

We went to have dinner at a German Restaurant. We had a very sour German soup, then the Germany pork arm. The huge German pork arm thingy was huge, but oily. I found it really delicious but my parents didn't like it. They kept saying it was no good no good. Actually I didn't like the one they cook because of the spices they put in. They were saying that the German one was tasteless even with the sauce. Yet, I like it this way. Dessert was apple pie. We checked into the hotel in the end, was happy to find a computer with free internet access. I finally got to talk to silly head after so long! Haha! =)

DAY SIX. We went to Amsterdam after the best breakfast ever, haha! We visited the clogs and cheese factory. I bought 3 pairs of clogs magnets for the animals! Hehe, very pretty! I also bought a coke vacuum souvenior bottle for silly head somewhere in a petrol kiosk in rome, =). The cheese were originally made in a sausage kind of shape, then row into a circle to create a donut shape thing. So cute! There were a few windmills for us to take pictures with. My mum bought some small windmill for herself too! So cute lah. =)

We had lunch then we went to take a glass boat thing to look at Amsterdam houses. Their houses were pretty tall and skinny. I realised that Amsterdam was very similar to Venice because it was also full of water between very small islands. After that we visited the diamond factory. Their diamonds were very pretty because they achieved a high level of cutting. Then we went to walk around at the red light district. The ladies there were only dressed in their bras and panties, then were behind a glass window with curtains. It was like as if selling clothes! Haha. The guy would walk inside for the girl he wants, then the curtain would be shut. The place was also full of sex toys available. We stayed in the hotel for the night there.

Tall and Skinny Amsterdam houses

DAY SEVEN. We had a great breakfast then we took the bus to Brussels, of Belgium. We walked around, bought a box of GODIVA (is S$2 per piece of GODIVA chocolate cheap?), and bought some other things too. My mum bought this huge diamond cut-alike crystal for herself, then my sister bought 2 pretty necklaces. I found the shop I bought my chocolates from 4 years ago, and I bought some chocolates from there too! The man was very nice and he gave me a card for 10% discount for the next visit. However, I don't think I will be back to Brussels very soon. I would probably be back 4 years later for wmc... Very soon we took the bus to Paris and stayed there for the night. The hotel was not as good as expected because of the Paris Airshow which took place near the original hotel. Sighs. Yet, the hotel has free wireless internet at the lobby. Everyone was happy! Haha.

Brussels

Thank you silly head for waking up in the middle of the night just to talk to me online. =)

DAY EIGHT. Breakfast was lousy, sighs. It was also raining the whole day. We had another tour guide for the city tour. So sad lah, the tour guide was actually very good but he spoke very chim chinese. Then there were many parts which I didn't understand. After the city tour, we went to visit the Louvre Museum. We saw the Da Vinci Code triangular glass prism thing! It was actually a ticketing place at the basement of that. From there, we took an escalator up to the museum. It was beautiful! The pictures were drawn very well and they were huge, from the floor to the ceiling. There were also pictures on the ceiling itself. We visited the Napoleon's house too, where we saw the most grand furnitures and dining rooms ever. Of course we went to see that picture of Mono Lisa. To everyone's surprise, it was of a much smaller scale than what we saw in most movies. It was only about A1 size. She has really pretty eyes, what a pretty artwork. =)

Louvre Museum

We visited the Eiffel Tower again at night to take the lift up to see the scenery. Hai, not nice one! Paris city lights were so dim and little compared to Hong Kong and Singapore! What is there to see... We had a hard time queueing up in the rain to get up and get down the tower but so disappointing lah. The tower looked nice from the outside though, shouldn't have gone in. Waste time effort and money. We went back to the same china-china hotel for the night.

DAY NINE. After the lousy breakfast, we finally checked out from the hotel! We went to see another museum, the Palace of Versailles. There were also furnitures and pictures, but not as fantastic as Louvre Museum of course. We only had 1 hour 45 min to explore before we got out of there, took the bus to the train station to take the EURO EXPRESS to London.

The immigration officer was like, where you going? What you go there for? So fierce lah, are you looking down on Asians or what? Sighs. The train was quite fast, only 2 hours and we have reached London! London looked very much like Hong Kong in terms of the roads and streets. Afterall, Hong Kong only returned to China 10 years ago. When we reached there, we checked in into the hotel. Quite pretty looking! We went out again to walk around, bought some fruits and drinks back. All of us slept early for the night since the day before we didn't have enough sleep.

DAY TEN. The breakfast was great again! Haha. We went to have a city tour at London. The tour guide, again, spoke chim Chinese then I didn't understand again. She also quite fierce lah, didn't quite like her. We went to see the major tourist attractions like the London Bridge and the Tower Bridge, and the dunno what clock. The Tower Bridge was very beautiful but the London bridge was quite normal, so many people thought that the nice Tower Bridge was the London Bridge. Coincidently, or not, all the attractions were around the same place! Haha. We also went to the British Museum to see many things from around the world. Nothing much lah, just a normal museum. After that we went to a Chinatown place to have lunch. After that, then we went out to do shopping!! We bought a lot of sportswear at very cheap prices =). Yay. After all the buying, we took the bus to go the the airport.

Buckingham Palace

DAY ELEVEN. This time round, we were lucky to have seats which the tv and sound was working. Yet, I slept most of the time, so I haven't finish the movie when the plane landed. So happy to be home. I don't wanna go on tours like this again, so tiring!

We put down our bags at home and went out to have dinner. I was so happy to see my grandmother and my uncle again. So happy to see cantonese tv. Haha! Good night to all. =)
