a lesson to learn

I watched tv yesterday and there was a story told by somebody, really very touching. I shall share with everyone. =)

There was this lady in her forties who wasn't feeling well and went to the hospital because may be she fainted or something... The doctor told her that she might have contacted with this disease which I forgot what, which can ruin the rest of her life because of long term medication and injection that kind of stuffs...

There was an old lady in her eighties lying at the adjacent bed. She always seem very happy. The young lady found out that the old lady got a tumour in her brain and she only have half a year to live.

After hearing this sad news, the young lady approached the old lady, wanting to console her. But this old lady appeared to be even happier than the young lady. She said she felt that she has lived a fruitful life and she is willing to leave anytime. She felt that she is lucky enough to be able to still plan her funeral and whatever else document before she dies.

She said that she wants to hug her bible in the coffin since she is very faithful to God, other than that, she also want to hug a dessert spoon.

Why a dessert spoon?

When we go to restaurants to eat, after all the side dishes and main course, the last is dessert. Before the dessert is served, the waitress will put dessert spoons on a plate in the middle of the table. She will be very happy to see the dessert spoons because that means dessert will be served shortly. She loves desserts because they are the best course of all. They are sweet and tasty, beautifully dressed too.

Thus, the meaning of the dessert spoon would be the best always happens at the end. So if she hug the dessert spoon in the coffin when she die (thats the end), she will be in the best state of life.

The young lady was very touched with the old lady's story, and decided to face the reality with ease and happiness.

So lets believe that tomorrow is a better day. =)
